Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia grand finale in Kuntsevo Plaza

The official closing of the 32nd season of the fashion week of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, the key event of which will be the premier show of Igor Chapurin’s collection will be held on March 16, 2016, in Kuntsevo Plaza – a modern multi-purpose complex in the west of Moscow. A remarkable atmosphere will be created by the display of photos “Russian Ballet. Russian Design” devoted to the interinfluence of fashion and ballet.

The finale of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia will be opened by a gala show of the World Fashion Trends SS16 collections based on the line-ups of clothes and accessories of the international brands represented in Kuntsevo Plaza, within the framework of which the freshest world trends of the season “Spring-Summer 2016” will be presented. The following stores will take part in the show: Michael Kors, Gerard Darel, Sandro, Maje, Weekend by MaxMara, Max&Co, Pinko, Tommy Hilfiger, Stefanel, Cop.Copine, Bruuns Bazaar.

The pinnacle event of the night will become the exclusive show of SENSE 9.0 collection of designer Igor Chapurin and his CHAPURIN Fashion House of the season “Fall-Winter 2016/2017”. The collection is based on the feelings and emotions caused by the epoch of the 1990s. The SENSE 9.0 collection unites femininity and brutality, gentle lines and coarse texture, bohemian splendor and sport couture. The designer experiments with the silk and tweed textures, works with author’s prints in the Oriental style, introduces to the collection style elements of the new urbanistic culture, but at the same time he remains committed to his love for exquisite dresses emphasizing the woman’s beauty.

Between the shows in Korzina art space, a ceremony of the official opening of the unique exposition “Russian Ballet. Russian Design” dedicated to the interinfluence of fashion and ballet will be held. On the photos made by Octavia Colt, the most famous Russian ballet female dancers are depicted in the images from the latest collections of the best Russian designers – Igor Gulyaev, Alena Ahmadulina, Alexander Arutyunov, Ulyana Sergeenko and many others. The exhibition is sponsored by Kuntsevo Plaza jointly with Ballet Insider online magazine and will be held from March 16 to April 2.

Kuntsevo Plaza in the status of an official partner of the closing ceremony of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia through the duration of all days of the Fashion Week – from March 11 to March 16, 2016 – will provide live feed of the fashion shows from Manezh Central Exhibition Hall. At these days, all and any visitors of the multi-purpose complex will be able to become a part of this wonderful show, watching what is going on at the podiums of Manezh, on a giant screen installed in the food court zone on the fourth floor.
